Wire EDM is ideal for producing complex designs on hardened materials. Our advanced Wire EDM capabilities include a range of high-speed production machines. They offer cutting areas of up to 18 1/4" x 12 1/4" x 15 3/4" in height. For your special needs, our Wire EDM machines can accommodate up to 30-degree taper cuts.

With sinker EDM technology, Astro can manufacture parts of unimaginable complexity - even on the most rigid of materials. Astro's sinker EDM feature CNC capabilities that enable us to machine complex profiles into a surface or add threads into a fully hardened part.
We employ a wide assortment of sinker EDM machines to cover a range of close tolerance parts from very small to those requiring working areas as large as 47 1/4" x 31 1/2" x 17 3/4" high.
